Terms of Service
Last updated: 20 July 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of maro.com.au (the “Site”) and any purchase you make from it. The Site is operated by Maro Online (ABN 88 640 814 651), based in Sydney, Australia (“Maro”, “we”, “us”). By accessing the Site or placing an order you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to purchase from the Site. By ordering you confirm the information you provide is accurate and complete.
2. Orders and acceptance
Your order is an offer to buy. A confirmation email acknowledges we received it but does not by itself form a contract. We accept your order — and a contract is formed — only when we dispatch the goods. We may decline or cancel an order (for example, if an item is out of stock, mispriced, or we suspect fraud) and will refund any payment already taken for a cancelled order.
3. Pricing and GST
All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST where applicable. We try to keep pricing accurate, but errors can occur; where an item’s correct price is higher than the price shown, we will contact you to confirm before dispatch or cancel and refund the order. A tax invoice is issued for every order.
4. Payment
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers. You warrant that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide.
5. Shipping and delivery
Delivery timeframes and costs are set out on our Shipping & Returns page. Delivery estimates are indicative only. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to the address you provide.
6. Returns, refunds and consumer guarantees
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Our returns process, including change-of-mind conditions, is described on our Shipping & Returns page.
7. Product information
We take care to describe products accurately, but images, colours, specifications and packaging may vary from what is shown. Product descriptions do not form warranties beyond those required by law.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Site unlawfully, to interfere with its operation or security, or to reproduce its content without permission. All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos and images — is owned by or licensed to Maro and is protected by intellectual-property laws.
9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee (other than one that cannot be limited) is limited to re-supplying the goods or paying the cost of re-supply, at our option. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you place an order applies to that order. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
